Low Carb Cinnamon Rolls Recipe : Keto Friendly | Dr. J9 Recipe

Introduction

Here is my favorite delicious low carb cinnamon roll recipe for healthy bake  and are a keto snack.  Enjoy them as a snack, or an easy portable snack.  These healthy low carb keto friendly cinnamon roll recipe are a delicious anytime snack with your coffee or tea, or enjoy them as a quick protein bite for breakfast.  This tasty low carb keto friendly cinnamon roll recipe  is an ideal light meal for the weight loss enthusiast. 

 

Ingredients

Dough

2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (I know, but thrust me they are delicious)

3oz Cream Cheese

¾ cup Almond Flour

1 tsp Baking Powder

1 tbsp Ground Flax

 

Cinnamon Spread

1 tbsp Monk Fruit Sweetener (or sweetener of choice)

1 tbsp Cinnamon

 

Frosting

2 tbsp Cream Cheese 

2 tbsp Heavy Cream

2 tbsp Powdered Monk Fruit Sweetener (or sweetener of choice)

1 ½ scoops Vitatree Vanilla Protein Powder (whey or vegan)

 

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F 

In a sauce pot on low to medium heat melt mozzarella and cream cheese together.

Add almond flour, baking powder and ground flax to cheese mixture and begin to mix until soft dough is formed.

Roll out dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Use two sheets of parchment paper to roll out dough, this helps keep dough from sticking to the rolling pin.

Brush butter all over the rolled out dough, make sure it is all covered, including the edges.

Once combined, add the cinnamon mixture evenly over the dough.

Starting from one end of the dough begin to roll a tight log.

Cut into even circle slices.

Grease a muffin tin, and place slices into each well.

Place into the oven for 12-15 minutes until brown.

Add frosting ingredients to a bowl and combine using a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.

Frost slightly cooled rolls and enjoy.
