This is based on circadian rhythms, which say that we shouldn't be eating when it gets dark. We want to be calming down our nervous system at this time so that we have enough melatonin secretion for good sleep. My recommendation here is to stop eating at least four hours before bed if you can.
Tip #2 Stop Snacking Between Meals
Stop snacking. If you feel like you need to eat between meals, even though you think it's better for you, it's not. Research has shown that there's something called our migrating motor complex (MMC) that helps move food through the digestive tract in sync with our circadian rhythms. When you snack all the time, you don't give your blood sugar a chance to stabilize, which is important to activate the MMC.
Tip #3 Eat a Clean Diet
We all know that what we eat is very important for healthy digestion and gut health. You want to think about eating for nourishment and giving your body the nutrients it needs to give you energy and electrons for the day. It's not important to eat because it's fun or because it tastes good, we need to think more about the nutrient density of what we eat to supply us with the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and energy we need daily.
