Introduction
Here are four signs that you may have gallbladder issues. If you've been concerned or you already know you have problems with your gallbladder, you might recognize some of these symptoms.
1. Floating, Light-Color Stool
If your stools are lighter in color and tend to float, this could indicate a gallbladder issue. When the gallbladder isn't functioning properly, bile salts aren't concentrated correctly. This can also be a sign of liver issues, which cause fats to not emulsify properly. Ideally, a healthy stool is a dark sinker, and lighter stools could signal a problem.
2. Pain in Right Shoulder & Neck
Pain in the right shoulder and neck, especially in the trapezius muscles, could be another indication of gallbladder issues. When these muscles become tight and stiff, it may be a reflex pain connected to your gallbladder. This pain is often felt on the right side of your body, where the gallbladder is located.
3. Pain Under Right Rib
If you feel pain directly under your right rib, where the liver and gallbladder sit, this could be another sign of gallbladder issues. The discomfort in this area should not be ignored, and it's essential to check with your doctor to ensure everything is functioning properly.
4. Vision Problems
Make sure the probiotic is designed for the human digestive tract. There are many different probiotics available, and I’ve used a variety in my practice over the years. However, I’ve consistently seen the best clinical results with probiotics specifically formulated for the human gut and its unique microflora.
Tips for Gallbladder Health:
Full Body Detox: A full body detox is a great way to help maintain healthy liver and gallbladder function. I recommend doing this detox 3-4 times a year, ideally once per season, to cleanse your internal organs and prevent potential issues.
Turmeric with Curcumin: Taking turmeric with a high concentration of curcumin (at least 95% of curcuminoids) can help improve bile secretion from your liver and gallbladder contraction, supporting overall gallbladder health.
