7 Anti Aging Tips Your Dermatologist Will Never Tell You

Introduction

I'm sure your skin doctor or your dermatologist has never told you some of my tips and I'm going to go through seven of them to help with anti-aging.

Tip #1: Safe Sun Exposure

The first tip is to obtain as much safe sun exposure as possible, paying special attention to that initial red light of the morning and the sunset. We're not talking about UV radiation here, though UV can be useful in treating various skin disorders and rashes. Instead, safe sun exposure is fantastic because the red light it emits in the morning and evening is incredibly vibrant and healing, as it can help to build collagen. That's one of my tips and why it's fantastic to get that safe sun exposure.

Tip #2: Fix Leptin Resistance

How else do we do anti-aging? Well, we’ve got to fix our hormones and one of the big things here is fixing our leptin resistance. If you do not know what this is, leptin resistance is something that I talk a lot about in other videos. Leptin is hormonal signaling from our fat cells to our brain and it connects with our external environment and where we are in terms of the cold, heat, and the light and dark of the day. This is all giving signals back to our brain for our healthy existence. When we have leptin resistance, it ages us more quickly, which is why fixing leptin resistance is very important to slow down that aging process.

Tip #3: Hydration

Tip number three for anti-aging is to have proper hydration. Now you've heard this before, drink enough water and make sure you're properly hydrating, especially your skin. If you're not properly absorbing that water, you're not utilizing that water and you could be flushing it out very quickly. Adding some salt and making sole water which again I talk about in other videos is a great way to ensure that you have a proper mineral status that you're holding on to. Your cells holding on to that proper hydration goes a long way for anti-aging.

Tip #4: Face Yoga

Tip number four is to do some face yoga. Now, I do have some other videos on very specific techniques if you want to tighten up your jawline, if you want to lift the eyes, if you want to work on those number 11s, if you want to work on those horizontal lines on the forehead. I've got some great face yoga exercises that you can check out.

Tip #5: Gua Sha

I'm sure your skin doctor didn't talk about Gua Sha which is a little tool fantastic for ironing out some of those fine lines and wrinkles that you could be seeing, helps with blood flow, and helps to move lymphatics which has a powerful anti-aging effect.

Tip #6: Eat to Nourish Skin

Tip number six is to eat to nourish your skin. So eating healthy fats is one way. Eating fruits loaded with antioxidants when they grow locally to you and they're in season is key. I love avocados so if they grow close to you or it is that season for avocados that is amazing because of the healthy fats of course in an avocado.

Tip #7: Whole Food Supplements

Tip number seven amongst all these other tips is to take some very specific supplements. Make sure that these are whole food supplements specifically for your skin. I love collagen; a grass-fed bovine collagen. MSM is another one of my favorites for healthy collagen production but also for healthy keratin. Horsetail (which has natural silica), fish oil, and magnesium (the anti-aging mineral) are also great for the skin. Remember to make sure that there are no fillers or flow agents, for example, no magnesium stearate,  in these supplements. This is fantastic for helping to build your collagen, supporting that collagen structure helping with healthy hair skin, and nails, and helping to slow down that aging process as we all age gracefully and hopefully in a healthy way.
